Suddenly, you feel a sharp pain on the underside or back of the heel especially when you are standing after prolonged sitting or you are taking the first step after waking up in morning. Once we become active , we feel it is like a dull aching pain which remains throughout the day.
This pain is due to a small sharp bony outgrowth from your heel (Calcaneum Bone ) known as a calcaneal spur or heel spur. This growth can happen both on the underside or back of the heel. These are calcium deposits which collect over a long period of time.
