Shoulder Blade Pain: A Menace of Lock down

Does this image strike a personal experience for you. How many of us have had this pain during lockdown ?


During the lockdown times we did not have our maids coming in and started the activities like mopping with the Wonder Mop , washing utensils at the sink .

The posture that you attain during these activities is slight bending forward from few minutes to may be an hour or so. Your shoulders are protracted and forward holding a mop or utensils. In mopping specifically your hands forward and backward applying a lot of pressure. So when you attain this posture you are putting a lot of stretch on some muscles attached to the shoulder blade and some muscles become over fatigued . These muscles involves rhomboids major and minor, middle and lower trapezius.


Also, these are the same muscles which help you sit while you are doing your office work continuously for hours , hence putting all the more strain on the muscles.


So let's have a look at certain exercises which help us take care of these group of muscle
